Celebrating Local Heroes: CLP 2024 Grants
The Hampton Roads community has reason to celebrate! The Community Leadership Partners, a giving circle of the Hampton Roads Community Foundation, awarded $200,000 in grants to 18 incredible nonprofits in 2024. These organizations are making a tangible impact, offering non-clinical programs that support mental health services and strengthen our community.
Among the grant recipients are organizations that I’ve personally seen make a difference:
ForKids, receiving $15,000 to continue providing trauma-informed care to families and children at their emergency shelter.
Communities In Schools of Hampton Roads, awarded $25,000 to train Site Coordinators and equip them to deliver Mental Health First Aid training to educators.
Safe House Project, with $25,000 supporting their vital work to help survivors of human trafficking access stabilization services and restorative care.
Since 2010, the Community Leadership Partners have distributed over $3.15 million to nonprofits making Hampton Roads a better place to live. Congratulations to all 2024 grant recipients, and thank you for your commitment to lifting our community! Together, we’re building a brighter future.
